17 April 2026 - Professor Frane Staničić, President of the Constitutional Court of Croatia, received a delegation from the Central European Academy of the University of Miskolc, comprising Prof Dr János Ede Szilágyi, the Academy’s Strategy Director, and Dr Katarzyna Zombory, the Academy's Research Director. The meeting aimed at presenting the Academy’s recent scientific achievements and to explore avenues for further scientific cooperation.

The Central European Academy of the University of Miskolc (CEA UM) was established in 2022 in Budapest. In performing the public tasks defined by the Hungarian state, the Academy establishes an interdisciplinary research and expert network covering the legal systems of Central European and other countries, within which it operates the Central European Professors’ Network. It cooperates with experts and institutions from Western Europe as well as from countries that are candidates for membership in the European Union. By publishing its results in open access form, organising public lectures and international conferences, and establishing scholarships, it aims to ensure that Central European legal traditions and scholarly achievements-forming an integral part of European values-become widely known both within Europe and beyond.
