5 October 2026 - Deputy President, Assoc. Professor Maša Marochini Zrinski, attended an international conference held in Tivat, Montenegro, from 1 to 3 October 2026, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of Montenegro. The participants - presidents and judges of constitutional courts and other highest courts from Europe, judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights, and representatives of the Venice Commission - deliberated on the constitutional and institutional challenges of Montenegro's European integration, the relationship between the national constitutional order and EU law, the independence of judiciary and the protection of human rights, as well as on the impact of AI on constitutional justice. The introductory speech was delivered by the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mattias Guyomar.
The conference was organised by the Constitutional Court of Montenegro, and supported by "EU Empower MN" project, financed by the EU and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
