15 December 2025 - The Faculty of Law of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University celebrated fifty years of its work on Friday, 12 December 2025. At the Solemn Session held in Osijek to mark this important anniversary, Dr Mato Arlović, Deputy President, was awarded a Recognition for special merits and exceptional contribution to the work and activities of the Osijek Faculty of Law. About the significance of the Faculty, which has so far educated more than ten thousand students, spoke Prof Dr Tunjica Petrašević, Dean; Prof Dr Drago Šubarić, Rector of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University; Prof Dr Radovan Fuchs, Minister of Education; Ivan Radić, Mayor of the City of Osijek and envoy of the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament; and Nataša Tramišak, County Prefect of Osijek-Baranja County.
