Constitutional Court Judges met with the President of the Republic

22 December 2011 - the Judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia were received today by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Dr Ivo Josipović. In an-one-hour working meeting Professor Jasna Omejec, President of the Constitutional Court, informed President Josipović and his advisers about the workings and activities of the Court and particularly emphasised the substantial decrease of its backlog. President Josipović said that he is specifically satisfied because in its recent decisions the Constitutional Court applied so-called teleological approach, which is very important for democratic development of the Croatian society and for changing the way of thinking of all Croatian institutions. President Omejec thanked President Josipović for receiving the Judges and for the opportunity to inform the public about the constitutional court developments in the past year. She added that in the coming period the Court will focus on improving the trust of the Croatian citizens in its work.

CONSTITUTIONAL COMPLAINTS - INSTRUCTIONS
A large number of constitutional complaints are filed by the applicants themselves, without a representative. These submissions, as well as many other constitutional complaints, very often do not meet the requirements for filing a constitutional complaint set out in the Constitutional Act on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia.

In order to provide assistance to everyone - whether they are the applicants of a constitutional complaint or their representatives - on these pages of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia you can obtain a free form for a constitutional complaint, as well as detailed instructions for completing it.
