31 May 2017 - President of the Constitutional Court, Dr Miroslav Šeparović, has received today H. E. Vladimír Zavázal, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Croatia in a curtesy call. In addition to the jurisdiction and work in general of the Croatian Constitutional Court, they also talked about a candidacy of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic to host the 18th Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts in 2020, to be considered at the forthcoming 17th Congress in Batumi (Georgia). The year 2020 will mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the frist two constitutional courts in Europe, i.e. the constitutional courts of Czechoslovakia and Austria.

Both sides agreed that the two countries have plenty in common and emphasised  good multi-level cooperation. At the end, President Šeparović expressed a wish to re-establish bilateral cooperation with our Czech counterparts, established back in 1998.
