1-4 September 2008 - An international symposium entitled "Separation of Powers and Constitutional Adjudication" was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea on the occasion of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea. At this international gathering, divided in four thematic sessions, more than hundred participants from thirty countries from all around the world and six regional commissions had an opportunity to discuss the relations of constitutional adjudication and the separation of powers and to tackle various problems encountered by the national constitutional, and other highest courts of the participating countries. Furthermore, the discussions were held on the new challenges imposed before the constitutional adjudication in the 21st century. A delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia composed of Prof. Jasna Omejec, President and Judge Mario Jelušić shared the Croatian experience.
