31st International Symposium "Petar Simonetti"

9 April 2025 - In his introductory speech at the opening session of the 31st International Symposium "Petar Simonetti", which is taking place in Poreč from 9 to 11 April 2025, Dr Miroslav Šeparović, President of the Constitutional Court, congratulated the organizers, the Faculty of Law in Rijeka, the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Chamber of Notaries, on the high quality of the conference, which has developed over time into one of the most important symposia of the legal profession in Croatia. The tradition of active participation of judges of the Constitutional Court, as well as Constitutional Court advisors, in the work of the conference has continued this year. In the round table dedicated to the constitutional court practice, chaired by Dr Mato Arlović, Deputy President, Secretary General Sanja Trgovac, and the Constitutional Court advisors Bianka Grubica Milišić, Nikolina Radonić and Helena Olivari presented recent case-law of the Constitutional Court. In the continuation of the conference, Dr Mato Arlović, Deputy President, will speak about the constitutional framework of the restriction of property rights in Croatia, and Senior Legal Advisor Helena Olivari will address the protection of the right of access to justice in public service. Judge Assoc. Prof. Dr Maša Marochini Zrinski and Judge Ante Galić will also participate in the work of the conference.
