XIIIth International Conference on "Fundamental Constitutional Values and the Social Practice", Yerevan, Republic of Armenia

3 - 5 October 2008 - Organised by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and the Conference of the Organs of constitutional Control of the Countries of Young Democracy the Conference on "Fundamental Constitutional Values and the Social Practice" was held in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia. The Conference hosted representatives from 21 countries, mostly constitutional court judges and constitutional law professors and also members of the International Association of Constitutional Law. The participants addressed issues of fundamental constitutional values and the guarantees of their realisation. Judge Mario Jelušić, LL.D. represented the Croatian Constitutional Court and held a speech on "The Fundamental Values and Human Rights in the Croatian Constitution". Besides meeting other Conference participants he had also met with the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, Prof. Gagik Harutyunyan, LL.D.
