25 May 2023 - In the framework of the TAIEX instrument of the European Commission (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange), a five-member delegation from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia consisting of advisors Ms Fetai Cana, Ms Janjić Todorova, Mr Minoski, Ms Paunkova Spasova and Ms Simonovska, came to the Croatian Constitutional Court for a two-day study visit. The aim of the visit was to share the best Croatian practice on the institute of constitutional complaint, as well as information on the application of ECtHR case-law and implementation of the Croatian Constitutional Court decisions, with a focus on discrimination cases. The North Macedonian Constitutional Court has been collecting best practices on the constitutional complaint from other constitutional courts for some time in order to be better prepared for the possible introduction of this institute in their legal system, this time with the support of the European Commission. On the sidelines of the study visit, Dr Miroslav Šeparović, President of the Constitutional Court, received in a courtesy call H.E. Milaim Fetai, Ph.D., Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to Croatia, who presented the credentials in May 2021.
