7 December 2009 - The University of Regensburg - Jean Monnet Chair of European Law, together with the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation and International Association of Constitutional Law, organised in Regensburg from 4 to 5 December 2009 the XI-th International Congress on European and Comparative Constitutional Law. The participants from more than 30 European countries, including Alger and Mexico and the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice discussed the constitutional changes introduced after the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989, in particular with regard to the New Democracies. They also addressed the developments in the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights. Professor Jasna Omejec, President of the Court held a lecture on the constitutional developments of the Republic of Croatia from 1990 to 2009.
