26 November 2013 - Upon an invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, Professor Dr Jasna Omejec, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by President Mrs Valerija Galić, paid an official visit to the Republic of Croatia from 24 to 26 November 2013. The delegation also included judges Mato Tadić and Mirsad Ćeman.
At the working meeting in the Croatian Constitutional Court the judges addressed the implementation of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights in the practice of both Constitutional Courts. Unlike Croatia, in Bosnia and Herzegovina this Convention is an integral part of the Constitution. Nevertheless, they also face the lack of its implementation by ordinary courts. In the second part of the meeting the judges exchanged the recent case-law of their respective Courts.
The President and judges of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina were also received by Professor Dr Ivo Josipović, President of the Republic of Croatia and they also attended the promotion of the first twenty books of Modernizacija prava (Modernisation of Law) edition of the State Administration, Judiciary and the Rule of Law Scientific Council of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
