9 - 11 October 2012 - At the preparatory meeting for the XVIth Congress of the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts, held in Vienna, Republic of Austria, the participants representing thirty-seven member states, including the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia composed of Professor Jasna Omejec, President and Snježana Bagić, Deputy-president, discussed organisational and financial issues of the Congress. It was decided that the XVIth Congress will be held in Vienna from 12 to 14 May 2014, on the cooperation between the constitutional courts in Europe - current state and perspectives. Furthermore, the members accepted a proposal of the Constitutional Court of Georgia to host the next XVIIth Congress in Batumi, Georgia in 2017. The members of the Conference, founded forty years ago in Dubrovnik, were received by the President of the Republic of Austria Dr Heinz Fischer and the Federal Chancellor Mr Werner Faymann.
