4 July 2024 - Judge Dr Mario Jelušić received several EU judicial officials hosted by the Croatian Judicial Academy as a part of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) Exchange Programme. The EJTN, which was created in 2000, aims at a fostering common legal and judicial European culture. The Exchange Programme was launched on the initiative of the European Parliament and was first implemented in 2005 with financial support from the European Union. Judge Jelušić introduced the colleagues to the working methods and organisation of the Croatian Constitutional Court, emphasising in particular that the Court is not part of the judiciary. Among other things, they also discussed the election of Constitutional Court judges, which in Croatia begins with a public tender, and the Croatian constitutional identity in the European Union.
