2 October 2008 - Prof. Jasna Omejec, President of the Court today held a lecture for citizens on "What is constitutional judicature and what it should be like". The lecture was organised by the association for dialogue, tolerance and co-operation Forum hrvatske sloge and its President, Academician Davorin Rudolf. In a one-hour-lecture Prof. Omejec talked, among other things, about problems the Croatian Constitutional Court faces in its everyday practice, and in particular about those related to the constitutional review of judicial decisions (constitutional complaints) and to the abstract control of constitutionality. She also pointed out the lack of Court’s jurisdiction regarding the violation of constitutional rights by actions or by failure of competent authorities to act and proposed adequate solutions i.e., the revision of relevant legislature.
