4 November 2021 - President of the Constitutional Court, Dr Miroslav Šeparović, attended the solemn session marking the 245th anniversary of the Faculty of Law of the Zagreb University and its Foundation Day. In his speech he pointed out the importance of the Faculty for the Croatian legal science, tradition and society in general. He substantiated that "the Croatian Constitutional Court recognises the authority, knowledge and the position of the Zagreb Law Faculty, and regularly requires expert opinions from its professors making them part of Constitutional Court decisions. Also in this manner, the Law Faculty contributes to the constitutional adjudication, and in particular to the rule of law as one of the highest values of the constitutional order." In the end he congratulated all the students on assigned awards, and retired professors on their well-deserved plaques. The audience, comprised of students, professors, representatives of judiciary and executive, attorneys and other guests, was also addressed by the Prime Minster, Rector of the Zagreb University, representatives of the President of the Republic and Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, the President of the Supreme Court and, of course, the Dean of the Zagreb Law Faculty.
