5 May 2011 - Vedran Barišić, Ana Bobić, Vanda Jakir, Ivana Kordić, Ana Lah, Kristina Mandić, Branka Marušić and Ivan Zrinjski, students of the Zagreb School of Law, were received today by Professor Jasna Omejec, President and the Judges of the Croatian Constitutional Court.
These students won the finals of the European Law Moot Court Competition, the most important law pleading competition in Europe, which took place in the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg on 1 April 2011, and Central and Eastern European Moot Court Problem 2011 held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 1 May 2011.
The success of the students is even greater since for the first time in the history of the competition the team from a non EU member country took the winning prize, and the same team won in two categories: the best team and the best advocate general of the European Court of Justice and thus received a separate award for the effort at the all-European finals.
