5 - 6 June 2009 - The official and working meeting of the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia was held this year in the hotel Jezero, at the Plitvice National Park. The seven-member delegation of the Slovene Court was headed by Mr. Jože Tratnik In these official meetings, held regularly back from when both states gained their independence, the constitutional court judges have been discussing different issues of constitutional judicature. This time the main topic was related to the relations between the constitutional and supreme courts of the two countries, given the fact that both, the Slovene and the Croatian Constitutional Court, face certain problems stemming from the constitutionally defined position and jurisdiction of the constitutional and supreme courts.
