1 June 2009 - In Zagreb, under the auspices of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Ministry of Justice, organized by the Zagreb University, Panthéon Assas University Paris II, and supported by the Central State Administration Office and the Embassy of the French Republic to Croatia, the international colloquium was held on the topic "Alternative dispute resolution". In her welcoming address Professor Dr. Jasna Omejec, President of the Constitutional Court encouraged the selection of a topic which reflects one of the most serious issues of the Croatian legal system related to the huge number of cases that affects every sphere of the legal, social and economic life or our country. One of the ways to face this difficult problem, in not only regular, but also the constitutional judicature is to successfully find, regulate and efficiently apply the alternative dispute resolution as an alternative to litigation.
